Woodprix Review. Is It Another Teds Rehash Or Is It Real?
  • This seems to be Teds Woodworking’s new cover.
  • Without consent, plans are used from other sites or woodworkers.
  • They threatened to shut down other woodworking sites if they were not stopped.
  • False company information
  • Customer service is lacking
  • Claims that they have 16,000 plans are false.

Features

Lets take a closer look at what this company promises you in the package versus what you get in reality. Weve tried their service to see for ourselves, and our experience seemed a familiar one.

Website

Their website looks very appealing at first glance. The website is clearly labeled with a promise of a enticing deal. However, once you click into the About Us section, you will be met with a redirect that will take you to Teds biography, hence why it feels familiar.

We have learned that Ted is not a real person. Hes just some knowing (or unknowing) culprit that is the face of these woodworking scams. Most professionals in the woodworking industry know his name and are aware of his illegal activities.

What this experience has taught us is to not judge a book by its cover and get pulled in by the nice designs on a website. We should always do our research on any company, regardless of its professional-looking graphics.

For services such as Ryan Shed Plans, credible reviews are a great resource.

DVD Of 16,000 Plans

They claim to have an assortment of step-by-step plans, 16,000 to be exact, for everyday unique wood pieces. This is a lie as well. First, not all plans are step by step. Second, they don’t claim that everyone is welcome to use their plans.

Youd have better luck with our list of beginner-friendly projects, and for free too.

Based on our investigation for this Woodprix review, most of the plans are quite intricate and you need some skill to pull them all off. Teds Woodworking has 2500 plans in total. The total is barely more than this. There are still plenty of woodworking projects that will keep you busy, although it is not nearly as many as the advertised.

Even if the deal sounds good, if you don’t get what you promised, you can’t help but feel betrayed. The organization of the plans is also poor as well, so even if its still a lot, youre not really getting your moneys worth.

The entire package is basically just a mash-up of a lot of other peoples plans. There is a term for this and we can think of copyright infringement and piracy off the top of our heads.

We find it even more frustrating that you can access this product and compile it yourself by visiting legitimate woodworking websites and free video streaming sites. Reviewed woodworking books are better for earnest learners, particularly because theyre well-organized and more detailed.

We can only guess, but we think this is where Ted or Woodprix got all of their information from. These plans are not original and you could have also received these plans free of charge.

Teds Woodworking: The New Teds

Teds Woodworking is a name you may have heard about.

Teds Woodworking has been referred to by a lot of woodworking professionals.

Unfortunately, that doesnt mean they want a clean slate to start fresh and to be legitimate. It’s just a new look for old scams. When we explored the site, it does look more legit but its the same old fraudulent schemes.

Spam

Woodprix is also shameless in their marketing. They will spam-free video streaming sites and other websites with their advertising just to get people to come and visit. Woodprix even offers the product at a higher price than Teds Woodworking to hook your attention.

We understand that advertising is an integral part of sales, but the way Woodprix does it is not only forceful and pushy, but its just plain annoying as well. We wouldnt even be surprised if your credit card and mailing information were compromised after purchasing from them, so its just best not to provide that info at all.

Email Identity Theft

Speaking of identity theft and leaked personal information, there has been evidence from fellow woodworkers of email theft. They took similar email addresses, so similar to the website name that it could be from the legitimate site.

They will push their product with these emails by sending mass chain mails to those on their list, which of course, is bad practice.

Threats

This is the most shocking thing that we have seen in our Woodprix review.

Woodprix even threatened other woodworkers by posting threats on their websites. They use different usernames and handles and spam comments. They may even use threatening language.

These excerpts can be found online. We can see that they don’t apologize nor admit to using the plans of others. They can be described as aggressive and even threatening in their attitude. They also come after the people who made posts to take down the stories and articles so they would stop with their threats.

The grammar and punctuation within the threats were also clear that it may not have been

These threatening messages, regardless of the truth, do not bode well for their company’s reputation.

They have then resorted to writing fake articles about a fellow woodworkers legitimate site. These attacks were stopped by the fellow woodworker who had access to his/her personal data.

Does that sound legitimate to you?

No Company

If you look on Woodprix or Teds website, there are two different addresses that do not exist. Their company is not traceable, and you have no recourse once the money has gone.

Only with these measures would you be able to obtain the necessary information to track them down. There are videos of people driving to the address on Teds website, only to see that it does not exist.

Of course, we did our own research too. We found an intersection when we searched Google Maps for the New York location listed on Woodprix’s website. This also taught us the important lesson of checking all information, such as phone numbers and addresses, before entering into any transaction.

Woodprix does not list a phone number, or an email address. This is a red flag. How would you contact the company to get your return if there is only an address and no way to contact them otherwise?

No Customer Service

They offer a 60-day guarantee of your money back that is unbreakable. However, you wont really get your money back when there is basically no response from their non-existent customer service.

We tried to get our money back, but it was not possible. Woodcraft is a better company when it comes to customer service.

WoodPrix Review Conclusion

Woodprix will provide more headaches than anything else if you decide to buy from them. We dont recommend this product. Save your money and you can get all the plans and videos online absolutely free. Dont fall into the trap and whatever company you want to transact with, always do your research beforehand.
